Features: In the impoverished Fairy Peak Village, a young man lost his handsome appearance to protect the village and transformed into a "black ghost." He was elected as the forest guard, but he couldn't control the tree thieves. So he built a temple for the immortals. The mountains became green, and the "immortals" appeared everywhere, punishing corrupt officials and thieves. He bravely surrendered and was taken away in chains, but he was overwhelmingly elected as the village head of Fairy Peak Village.
The novel is mysterious and well-represents the real-life struggles of contemporary rural life. It is both tragic and noble!
