Author: School of Ancient Chinese Literature, Hubei University
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2002-01-01
Features: This discipline is divided into three research directions: Literature of Pre-Qin, Han, Wei, and Six Dynasties; Tang and Song Literature; and Yuan, Ming, and Qing Literature, each with distinct academic characteristics. The research direction of Pre-Qin, Han, Wei, and Six Dynasties Literature focuses on the study of fu (a classical Chinese literary form). The academic leader of this direction is Professor He Xinwen, a cross-century discipline leader in ordinary universities in Hubei Province, whose academic research primarily concentrates on the study of fu. The complete collection selects 36 papers by 18 teachers from this discipline. The selection criteria prioritize the quality of papers and the level of publications, while also considering the balance of research content and directions. The papers are organized into five major sections: 1. General Theories and Surveys; 2. Research on Pre-Qin, Han, Wei, and Six Dynasties Literature; 3. Research on Tang and Song Literature; 4. Research on Yuan, Ming, and Qing Fiction; 5. Research on Yuan, Ming, and Qing Drama. The editorial aim of this collection is to objectively and comprehensively reflect the research achievements of this discipline in the latter half of the 20th century. Due to limitations in format and length, some outstanding papers published in authoritative journals by other authors were not included in this collection. Additionally, the papers of two young teachers who recently joined the faculty were also omitted, leaving some regrettable omissions.
