Features: The formation of a scientific discipline has two conditions: one is the practical accumulation of the phenomena it studies, and the other is scientific research methods and research objects. For tourism to become a scientific discipline, it depends on the practice of tourism activities. Only when tourism becomes a frequent social phenomenon can its inherent laws be fully revealed, and people can discover its uniqueness and regularities. Imagine, in the early stages of tourism development in China, it was difficult to explore the relationship between tourism and people's daily consumption and lifestyle, and it was unimaginable that Chinese tourism enterprises would have outbound tourism services or cross-border operations. It was even more unimaginable that tourism economic activities would involve tourist source regions. For these phenomena, only when tourism reaches a certain stage can we think about and conduct research on them. When the tourism phenomenon is fully manifested, making the study of this phenomenon a scientific discipline depends on scientific methodology, the determination of our research objects in tourism, and rational thinking and abstraction about the phenomenon. At this point, it is crucial to establish the logical relationships among various phenomena in the tourism industry, which is currently a deficiency in tourism discipline research.
