It is also valuable for linguistics students and learners preparing for English tests at various levels. The book introduces basic knowledge, all explained from the very beginning. The basis for writing this book is: 1. Monographs and papers on language testing published domestically and internationally; 2. The authors' own teaching and testing experience; 3. A large number of previously used test papers and questions. To avoid distracting the reader's attention, the theories and viewpoints mentioned in the book do not list their sources one by one. A list of references is provided at the end for further study. The test examples cited in the book are 95% drawn from published test papers and exercises. Some are used as examples, while others are accompanied by brief comments. Additionally, in some chapters, sample test papers are appended for reference. The authors hope that by studying these sample test papers, readers can deepen their understanding of related testing theories.
