Our publishing house previously published the Chinese translation of the 5th edition of this book in 1999, which was widely welcomed by readers and selected by many universities as a textbook or reference book for international economics. The 8th edition systematically introduces international trade theory, international trade policy, balance of payments, theories of exchange rate determination, foreign exchange markets, capital flows between countries, balance of payments adjustment, and the international monetary system, while also incorporating the latest developments, new cases, and new content in international economics theory, foreign exchange markets, the Asian financial crisis, and the international monetary system. It provides an authoritative overview of theoretical research, practical development, and cutting-edge issues in the field of international economics. Another feature of this book is its strict adherence to the textbook format, with a clear structure, comprehensive content, and uniform style, making it highly suitable for teachers to arrange teaching. The book is mainstream in content, standardized in format, rigorous in structure, up-to-date in data, easy to understand yet challenging, and is an excellent textbook for international economics.
