Features: With the opening-up of China's economy, internationally successful franchising systems such as McDonald's, KFC, Coca-Cola, Carrefour, and Kodak successively entered the Chinese market. In just a few decades, they rapidly expanded their market share and became leaders in their respective industries. Their remarkable achievements drew attention from various sectors of Chinese society to franchising. On November 14, 1997, the Ministry of Domestic Trade of China issued the "Measures for the Administration of Business Franchising (Trial)," which marked the peak of franchising development in China. However, compared to foreign franchising systems, Chinese domestic franchising systems clearly lacked competitiveness, and many of them even collapsed within a short period of time. The development of Chinese domestic franchising remains bleak. To address this, we have written this book to provide support and assistance to those who are passionate about franchising, both in theory and practice. This book can also serve as a textbook and reference for university students majoring in related fields.
