Features: To ensure the quality and standard of the graded examination, further improvement must be sought in teaching content and textbooks to achieve systematic and standardized development. Through years of practice in Pipa graded examinations, the compilers have carefully selected and compiled this textbook from a rich repertoire of Pipa pieces for teaching and learning purposes. When selecting and compiling the material, the compilers took into consideration that the examinees are primarily school students. Therefore, the arrangements for lower-level pieces are designed to address the difficulty of mastering the Pipa and the young age of beginners. Traditional, original, and adapted Chinese and foreign pieces are all included. The music graded examination is hailed as an open-air conservatory, a significant initiative in art education. The compilers believe that examinees should not skip grades and should comprehensively master the pieces and techniques of each level, with particular emphasis on strict requirements in tone production, rhythm, and basic skills. Traditional pieces are not limited to specific versions, and teachers are also encouraged to tailor instruction, making appropriate adjustments and supplements to this textbook.
