Features: This book is divided into two parts, each being the result of a research project funded by the National Social Science Fund and a major research commission from the provincial government. The research reports for both projects are approximately 100,000 words each, and publishing them separately would be too thin, so they are compiled together. Part I "Research on Talent Strategies for the Knowledge Economy Era" starts from the trends of socio-economic development in the knowledge economy era and focuses on the changing demands for talent in the knowledge economy and knowledge society. It explores the adjustment of China's talent strategy and the reform of relevant systems and policies from four levels: individuals, enterprises, industries, and institutions. It proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the development of higher education in China and the human resource development and management of enterprises. The second part, "Shanghai's 'Four Centers' Construction and Zhejiang's Economic Development," is the outcome of a research project commissioned by the Zhejiang Provincial Government (Project Title: "Making Full Use of Shanghai's Construction of International Financial, Economic, Trade, and Shipping Centers to Promote Zhejiang's Economic Development," Project No.: ZDWT02). It was jointly funded by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government Research Office, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the Provincial Philosophy and Sociology Planning Leading Group Office.
