This collection is compiled following the "Zhi Kun Collection" and is tentatively named "Tan Zhi Collection." It includes 35 essays, prefaces, and postfaces, most of which were written in the past eight or nine years. Only the last five entries are from the 1950s. Among them, "The Historical Status of Fan Zhongyan" and "Correctly Understanding the Feudal Ruling Class and Feudal Dynasties in History" were written in 1952 when I worked at the Institute of Modern History, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Including these two pieces, 46 years have passed in the blink of an eye, time flies, and "I did not know that old age was coming."
