Features: One aspect that distinguished the 7th National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition from previous ones was the collection of papers on calligraphy and seal carving creation from the authors. The aim was to promote the importance of research on creative theory, enhance the comprehensive cultural quality of the authors, and make both creation and theory serve as dual wings for the development of calligraphy art. This initiative undoubtedly gained widespread recognition and support from the authors. Over 870 people submitted their papers. The content of the papers covered a broad range, and the writing styles were diverse. Some explored classical calligraphy theory, innovating while preserving tradition; others compared with other disciplines, looking ahead and making predictions; some narrated their personal experiences and unique creations; some analyzed techniques, identifying subtle differences and supporting the finest aspects; some conducted case studies to examine the evolution of calligraphy art; and some cited social factors to reflect on the gains and losses of styles. In summary, the papers were comprehensive, fully showcasing the many issues that contemporary authors are concerned with.
