Patient's question:
NoDoctor's answer:
Menstrual bleeding is excessive and prolonged. In cases of qi deficiency, common symptoms include pale red menstrual color, thin and watery menstrual flow, a hollow and heavy feeling in the lower abdomen, fatigue and weakness, lackluster complexion, palpitations and dyspnea, shortness of breath and reluctance to speak, pale pink tongue with thin white coating, and weak and feeble pulse. Treatment should focus on replenishing qi and stopping blood flow, as well as strengthening the spleen and calming the heart. You can use one old hen, 10g of astragalus, and 15g of mugwort. Wash the hen, cut it into pieces, and steam or boil it with astragalus and mugwort ( in cloth) for 2-3 servings. During winter, take 2-3 doses during each menstrual period.
