Features: Guizhou is a multi-ethnic province, with 15 ethnic minorities residing there besides the Han Chinese, numbering over 12 million people and accounting for 35% of the province's total population. Each ethnic group has its own unique cultural traditions and living customs. Most of Guizhou's famous tourist attractions are located in areas inhabited by ethnic minorities, resulting in distinctive architectural styles. Guizhou vernacular architecture is the product of remote ethnic minorities in the province, created using natural, locally sourced materials by carpenters, stonemasons, bricklayers, and ordinary farmers. Through years of accumulation and passing down from generation to generation, it has developed a strong mountainous character and ethnic identity, embodying a simple yet perfect form of western mountain vernacular architecture.
