Features: Have you heard the story of the polar bear? In the Arctic Circle, it has almost no natural predators. However, the clever Inuit can catch them effortlessly. How do the Inuit do it? Perhaps it’s the wisdom given to them by God: They kill a seal, pour its blood into a bucket, and insert a double-edged knife into the center of the blood. Because the temperature is very low, the seal’s blood quickly cools and solidifies, freezing the knife in the middle like a giant ice lollipop. Then they take out the ice lollipop and place it on the vast snowfield.
Polar bears have a characteristic: They are bloodthirsty. Their noses are extremely sensitive, allowing them to smell the scent of blood from several kilometers away. At this point, they must have smelled the ice lollipop left by the Inuit on the snow. They quickly come to feed and start licking the blood ice lollipop.
As they lick, their tongues gradually become numb, but they still refuse to give up this gift from heaven. Suddenly, the taste of the blood improves—it’s fresher blood, warm blood. So they lick more and more eagerly. It turns out that it’s their own blood—actually, when they lick to a certain extent, they’ve reached the center of the ice lollipop, and the sharp knife cuts their tongue. Blood gushes out, but their tongue is already numb, so they feel nothing. However, their nose is very sensitive and knows that fresh blood has arrived.
The result of licking harder is that their tongue is injured more deeply, more blood flows out, and it all goes down their throat. Finally, the polar bear faints due to excessive blood loss. At this point, the Inuit walk over and can capture it effortlessly, almost without any effort. P7-8
