Features: The British "Ocean" helicopter carrier was essentially designed based on the British "Invincible" class light aircraft carrier. There are many similarities in terms of hull type, structural design, and equipment layout, but there are significant differences in aviation facilities, weapon systems, power systems, and technical performance. Aviation facilities are important equipment for the "Ocean" carrier, including the flight deck, aircraft elevators, and hangar. The flight deck is straight and very spacious, equipped with 6 aircraft take-off and landing points. Two aircraft elevators are located in the center of the deck, connected to a large hangar below the flight deck, capable of lowering aircraft into the hangar or lifting them from the hangar to the flight deck. One of the major features of the "Ocean" helicopter carrier is that, except for critical areas such as the flight deck, watertight compartments, and fire protection systems, which are designed and built to military standards, other parts are basically built to merchant ship standards, which is quite different from the "Invincible" class aircraft carriers that are entirely built to military standards. "Ocean" carrier's offensive and defensive weapons The spacious flight deck of the "Ocean" carrier can accommodate 18 helicopters, and the hangar located below the flight deck can carry 12 helicopters, with a total aircraft capacity of 30, but only 18 are carried on a daily basis. The selected models mainly include helicopters such as "Sea King," EH101, "Hawk," and "CH-47 Chinook," and an unspecified number of "Harrier" vertical/short take-off and landing aircraft can be deployed when necessary (e.g., during land or ship attacks), as its flight deck does not have a ski-jump deck, which limits the take-off weight of the "Harrier" aircraft. The fixed weapons on the ship are relatively simple, with only a minimum of close-range defense weapons. There are mainly 4 twin-mounted Oerlikon 30mm GCM-A03 cannons and 3 Mk15 Phalanx 20mm close-in weapon systems. The former has a rate of fire of 1,200 rounds per minute and can be used to target external threats within 8 kilometers; the latter has a rate of fire of 3,000 rounds per minute and can be used to destroy close-range targets within 2 kilometers.
