Features: This book collects over 500 dialect words reflecting folk customs. To facilitate readers' comprehensive understanding of a particular folk custom, the main body of the book adopts a classification method by thematic categories. Words reflecting the same folk custom are grouped together. For example, words related to marriage and birthdays are listed as one category, while those related to funerals and sacrifices are listed as another category, totaling twenty categories. It should be noted that the categorization of some categories and the classification of words may not perfectly align with the actual nature of the things themselves. This is done solely for the convenience of readers. The interpretations of words in Ji Chun Tai by previous scholars are invaluable. To avoid repetition, words with mature interpretations by predecessors are not included in the main body of the book. However, to assist readers of Ji Chun Tai in checking difficult words, we list the entries and brief explanations of previously interpreted words in the appendix. The appendix includes phonetic order, stroke order, and reverse phonetic index of the words, with the phonetic index arranged according to the Mandarin pronunciation for easy reference. For words with frequent citations in the text, notes are not provided in the body but are uniformly listed in the references at the end of the book.
