Features: To promote the modernization of the residential industry, continuously improve the level and quality of residential construction, create a civilized living environment in the 21st century, and promote national economic growth, the Ministry of Construction began implementing the National Healthy Residential Demonstration Project in 1999. The National Healthy Residential Demonstration Project takes residential community construction as its carrier, implements the spirit of the "Notice of the State Council on Promoting the Sustainable Healthy Development of the Real Estate Market" (No. [2003] 18) and the "Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Promoting the Modernization of the Residential Industry and Improving the Quality of Residential Construction" (No. [1999] 72), with the overall goal of advancing residential industrialization. Through the guidance of the demonstration project, it aims to improve the overall level of modernization in the residential industry and residential construction.
Residential components refer to independent units in residential buildings with specified functions, composed of building materials, products, and accessories. The standardization and industrialization of residential components are the foundation and key to the modernization of the residential industry. To ensure the effectiveness of the National Healthy Residential Demonstration Project, the Residential Industrialization Promotion Center of the Ministry of Construction began, in 2001, to select residential components that comply with national industrial policies and technological development directions nationwide. Experts were organized to review the submitted residential components according to the requirements of the "Implementation Outline of the National Healthy Residential Demonstration Project" and the "Management Measures for the Performance Certification of Commercial Residential Buildings" issued by the Ministry of Construction. This work is conducted twice a year, and the approved components are compiled into a publication. The 2005 edition of the "Guide to the Selection of Residential Components and Products for the National Healthy Residential Demonstration Project" categorizes components into four systems: supporting and enclosure components (items), interior components (items), equipment components (items), and community support components (items).
To better guide the implementation units of the National Healthy Residential Demonstration Project in mastering and understanding the characteristics and technical requirements of selected components (products), we invited some experts to provide technical evaluations on the development and trends of certain residential components domestically and internationally, applicable conditions and requirements, technical and economic feasibility, key technical points of application, and supporting requirements.
This book, the "Guide to the Selection of Residential Components and Products for the National Healthy Residential Demonstration Project 2005," is a tool for the implementation of the National Healthy Residential Demonstration Project. Since its publication in 2002, it has been well-received by units and professionals involved in residential construction management, development, design, construction, property management, and other fields, playing a significant reference role in the National Healthy Residential Demonstration Project and other types of residential construction.
