Features: Dali is located in the northwest of Yunnan Province, within the scenic area of Dali. It is centered around the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake, including nearby scenic spots such as Jizushan in Binchuan, Shibaoshan in Jianchuan, Weibao Mountain in Weishan, and Cibihu Lake in Eryuan. The total area covers 1,016 square kilometers. It belongs to a low-latitude plateau monsoon climate, characterized by rainy and hot summers and dry and cool winters, with most areas experiencing mild, spring-like weather year-round, except for high-altitude regions. Influenced by the climate, plant vertical distribution varies significantly, making it suitable for growing various crops. The lake-shore flatlands are renowned as a "land of fish and rice." Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture has a long history and splendid culture, often referred to as the "Land of Literature and Learning." During the Tang and Song dynasties, the Nanzhou and Dali Kingdoms were established here. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the prefecture has experienced rapid development and achieved remarkable accomplishments, with a bright future. The prefecture boasts majestic mountains and rivers, beautiful scenery, a pleasant climate, and simple folk customs. Dali is one of the first 24 historically and culturally significant cities in China, as well as one of the 44 national-level scenic areas, as announced by the State Council. Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake were approved as a national-level nature reserve by the State Council. These "three crowns" have made Dali renowned both domestically and internationally. Dali is the homeland of the Bai ethnic group and served as the capital of the Nanzhou and Dali Kingdoms for over 500 years. With its beautiful scenery, numerous historical and cultural landmarks, and its designation as a national-level historically and culturally significant city by the State Council in 1982, Dali is a destination of great charm. The industrial characteristics of Dali City are: a thriving tourism industry, a solid agricultural foundation, and an industrial focus on construction materials and textiles.
