Features: Mr. Pop, the painter, and his family live in the quiet town of Stillwater. He always dreamed of exploring the poles, but he had never left his hometown. He had a comical penguin from Antarctica named Colonel Cook as a companion. One day, Colonel Cook got sick, and helpless Mr. Pop had to turn to the aquarium for help. To his surprise, the response he received was from a penguin there—Greta! Now Mr. Pop has two penguins at home, and they quickly increased to twelve. Feeding these hungry little creatures really gave Mr. Pop and his family a hard time, because Mr. Pop had no job during the winter, and the live fish the penguins needed were so expensive. Plus, the large refrigeration equipment in the basement had to be paid for. Later, they discovered that this group of little penguins were born performers! To solve the family's financial crisis, Mr. Pop decided to perform at the theater! Mr. Pop's wife even became their musician! With the whole family's, "Pop's Performing Penguins" became famous along the East and West Coasts of the United States. Before long, it was early April, and the warming weather was really confusing for the penguins. However, Mr. Pop had already found the best home for them.
