Follow-up questions after left ovarian teratoma surgery

Patient's question:

On December 11, 2014, surgery was performed for a teratoma in the left ovary. On December 11, one month after the surgery, a follow-up examination revealed an endometrial thickness of 1.6 cm, no display of the left ovary, and pelvic fluid accumulation of 1.0 cm.

Doctor's answer:

The ovarian mass is quite complex and can sometimes be difficult to distinguish from physiological cysts. Physiological cysts do not require surgery and can naturally resolve on their own. If it is a neoplastic mass, it should still be surgically treated in a timely manner.
