14. The Production Method of a Research Plan
The necessary items for a research plan include the title, background, purpose, research methods, research items, research schedule, research costs, and research team. Market research must include a research plan. Even if the research is implemented every year or every month, it must be written each time. The plan consists of eight basic items: title, background, purpose, research methods (overall, sampling method, sample size, analysis method), research items, research schedule, research costs, and research team. The background and purpose can be written separately or together. The background explains why the research is conducted, its necessity and origin, and does not necessarily need to focus on industry matters or be written from the manufacturer's perspective. The purpose must clearly state the direction of the research. Here, if a hypothesis has already been established, the work direction should be determined based on the hypothesis.
Research methods play a role in the implementability of the plan. First, the "overall" regulation is executed, and then the research scope is determined. Next, the subjects of the research are selected. Sampling first determines whether it is random or non-random, the sampling list, and the specific sampling method. It must be clearly recorded how many and what proportion of samples are drawn at each stage of the process. Finally, the sampling method is stated. If no special analysis method is used, it is not necessary to specify it.
Research items serve as the directory of the research questionnaire. Ideally, reviewing the research items should give a general understanding of the overall structure of the questionnaire. The research schedule must be recorded even if it has not been finalized. The schedule is determined after discussions on topics such as the printing of the questionnaire, the completion of sampling, the field research period, the statistical period, and the analysis period. Research costs must also be recorded after estimation. In the research team, if there are cases of outsourcing, the names of the companies and the reasons for choosing them must be recorded. P30
