Features: The formulation and revision of national standards play a significant role in China's economic and social development. In 2005, 1,653 national standards were formulated and revised, including 734 newly formulated standards and 919 revised standards. Among them, 356 were mandatory national standards, and 1,297 were recommended national standards (including 11 national technical guidance documents). A total of 661 standards were adopted based on international standards and advanced foreign standards. To facilitate technical personnel, standardization authors, and other relevant personnel from various sectors in promptly understanding the latest formulation and revision information of national standards and conducting international exchanges, we have compiled an annual directory of Chinese-English national standards. This directory includes information on all national standards approved and published in 2005, such as numbering, name, classification, adopted standards, publication date, revision date, implementation date, and superseded standards. It is arranged in the order of professional classification of the "Chinese Standard Document Classification" (abbreviated as "China Standard Classification"), with the Chinese directory preceding the English directory. An index of standard numbering in both Chinese and English is provided at the end of the book for easy reference. This standard directory includes information such as numbering, name, classification, adopted standards, publication date, revision date, implementation date, and superseded standards.
