Features: China is the homeland of ceramics and the birthplace of porcelain. Ceramics are a traditional industry in our country. Since the reform and opening-up, especially after China's accession to the WTO, ceramic production in China has developed rapidly, with the quantity of ceramic products ranking first in the world. However, there is still a certain gap in quality compared to developed countries. To improve product quality, strict testing work is essential. At the invitation of Chemical Industry Press, the author compiled this book, Testing and Defect Analysis of Ceramic Products. Based on a brief introduction to ceramic products, testing methods, and testing equipment, the book systematically introduces the testing methods and principles for the mechanical, electrical, optical, thermal, magnetic, and chemical properties of daily-use ceramics, building ceramics, sanitary ceramics, and industrial ceramics. It also elaborates on common defects and their analysis in these ceramic products. The book introduces experimental methods for the technological properties of ceramic raw materials, body, and glaze, briefly describes the main testing techniques for the microstructure of ceramic products, and particularly selects some applications of theoretical analysis in ceramic material testing, based on the author's research work, in Chapter 8. This book is suitable for science and technology personnel engaged in the research and production of ceramic materials, refractory materials, glass, cement, and composite materials, as well as for teaching reference books for undergraduate and graduate students in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials.
