Features: Compiling the biography of Comrade Mao Zedong is an important task undertaken by the Documentation and Research Center of the CPC Central Committee. After more than four years of work, the pre-1949 part (1893-1949) has been completed. Considering that the post-1949 part still requires additional time to be finalized, the pre-1949 part is being published first. The main basis for this book is the manuscripts, telegrams, letters, speech records, and extensive records of meetings attended by Comrade Mao Zedong preserved in the Central Archives. Additionally, records of interviews, memoirs, and contemporary newspaper materials from comrades who had direct contact with Comrade Mao Zedong have been referenced. It strives to write a relatively detailed and reliable history based on rich and reliable primary sources.
