Features: Flight Performance and Planning is a major professional course for the aviation technology program. It was compiled in accordance with the teaching syllabus for Flight Performance and Planning of the aviation technology program adopted by our institution in 1995. It is primarily intended for aviation technology students but can also serve as a reference book for airline pilots and related professionals. The book mainly combines the flight performance knowledge required for actual multi-engine aircraft operations, providing a comprehensive introduction to the flight performance of multi-engine aircraft and its practical applications. Since most foreign aviation literature uses imperial units (British and American systems), and imperial units are extensively used in the relevant manuals of various aircraft types, and the charts and data cited in this book are mostly derived from these sources, the book still adopts imperial units to facilitate readers' learning and application, considering the current of aircraft in China. Moreover, in accordance with the special requirements of civil aviation textbooks, the book uses terms, units, and symbols that comply with international civil aviation standards. For example, the book uses KT and kts to denote knots, uppercase V to denote speed, and nm to denote nautical miles.
