Features: This book provides an in-depth look at the life of the United States Military Academy at West Point, the premier institution for leadership training in the U.S., during its bicentennial year. Ed Rugerio, who served as both a student and instructor at West Point, offers a keen perspective on how this elite school cultivates "moral leaders" who dominate the U.S. military. He meticulously examines how their powerful leadership is honed. With profound insight and exceptional writing skills, Rugerio immerses himself in the demanding and busy life of cadets: the initially exhausting training, the strict cadet hierarchy, the intense classroom activities, and the interactions between lower-ranking first-year "plebes" and their senior instructors. The book also showcases the responsibilities of officers at the officer, (lieutenant), and soldier levels, who witness all the events that unfold within this unique institution.
