Features: More importantly, this reform also involves changes in the selection, incentives, and constraints mechanisms for operators. ① All these practical challenges of reform urgently call for effective corporate governance. Second, in line with international corporate governance research. The third wave of international corporate governance research, which began in the 1980s and continues to this day, has significantly broadened this field of study, providing highly valuable guidance for corporate management, capital market operations, and the development of legal frameworks in various countries. Therefore, the emergence of the "boom" in domestic corporate governance research is not isolated—it is an inevitable result of domestic academic research aligning with international standards, forming a unified research paradigm that allows for free exchange and mutual learning. The systematic study of corporate governance in China's media groups is primarily based on the following two factors: First, corporate governance theory is highly comprehensive and complex, requiring continuous exploration and expansion of the research field. From a theoretical perspective, as an important component of modern enterprise theory, corporate governance theory covers research areas such as corporate systems, corporate management, and government regulation. It is an interdisciplinary research topic that spans multiple fields, including management, economics, law, and sociology. On the other hand, different market economy countries, due to differences in their development paths, social and cultural traditions, and political and legal systems, have evolved distinct corporate governance structures and mechanisms over a long history of corporate development and institutional evolution. The effectiveness of corporate governance mechanisms also varies, resulting in different corporate governance models. ② It is precisely this theoretical comprehensiveness and complexity that necessitates in-depth theoretical exploration and expansion of corporate governance research. Second, based on the available literature, research on corporate governance in media groups by domestic and international scholars has just begun. Since most media groups in developed Western countries adopt a joint-stock form with clear property relationships, their governance structures are not significantly different from those of other corporate groups. As a result, Western scholars lack systematic theoretical analysis of media group governance structures from a holistic perspective, and most related research focuses on the operational aspects of internal organizational structures within media groups. Domestic scholars have also conducted relatively weak research on the governance structures of media groups. There is a lack of in-depth research findings to reference or draw upon for constructing the governance structures of China's media groups and improving corresponding governance mechanisms. In light of this, the book has fully drawn on and absorbed relevant theoretical achievements to carry out research within a broader theoretical framework and at a higher theoretical level. P9
