1. The Journal of Marketing Science has established the "JMS PhD Research Fund," which is sponsored by enterprises or individuals. This fund was launched in 2006 and will support 4-6 one-year research projects this year, with a funding amount of 5,000 to 10,000 RMB per project. 2. The "International Forum of Marketing Science" will be held in Chengdu from July 1 to 2, 2006. This forum is organized by the Journal of Marketing Science and the Academic Committee of the China Marketing Society, co-hosted by the School of Economics and Management at Southwest Jiaotong University, and supported by the Management Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The forum will focus on marketing science research, inviting editors of top international marketing academic journals and several outstanding overseas Chinese scholars as keynote speakers, aiming to build an academic exchange platform between domestic and overseas marketing scholars.
3. The "2006 JMS Academic Annual Conference of Marketing Science" will be held in Wuhan University from October 19 to 20, 2006. The theme of the conference is "Chinese Marketing: Globalization and Localization." This annual conference is organized by the Journal of Marketing Science, co-hosted by the School of Economics and Management at Wuhan University and the School of Business at City University of Hong Kong, and supported by the Management Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
4. The "2006 JMS Academic Forum for PhD Students in Marketing Science" will be held in Wuhan University on October 18, 2006. The purpose of the forum is to provide a high-quality academic platform for PhD students in marketing to exchange ideas, debate, and inspire shared research interests. The forum organizing committee will organize experts to select the best paper, with one first prize and two second prizes.
5. The "China Consumer Behavior Symposium" was successfully held at Sun Yat-sen University from May 20 to 21, 2006. The symposium focused on themes such as "Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Chinese Consumer Behavior," "Case Studies of Chinese Consumer Behavior," "Chinese-Specific Consumer Behavior Research," and "Teaching and Innovation in Consumer Behavior Studies."
