Features: Jun porcelain originated in Yuzhou City, Henan Province, and was designated as imperial porcelain during the Song Dynasty. Jun porcelain is unique for its ancient-style shapes, thick glaze, and magical kiln-changing glaze colors. Mr. Liu Fu'an has been engaged in Jun porcelain production for forty years and is the only Chinese Art and Craft Master named by the state in the Jun porcelain industry. His Jun porcelain works not only inherit the artistic style of Song Dynasty Jun official kiln wares in terms of shape, glaze, and firing methods but also innovate many new forms and glazes. This book collects over 160 exquisite posthumous works by Mr. Liu Fu'an, many of which are published for the first time. The book primarily features images with supplementary textual descriptions, making it a comprehensive publication that combines academic, appreciative, and historical value. Mr. Liu Fu'an is a renowned craft master in the field of Chinese ceramics and the only ceramist in the Jun porcelain manufacturing industry who has been awarded the title of "Chinese Art and Craft Master" by the state. His works have won the China Art and Craft Highest Award—"Hundred Flowers Award" multiple times, some of which are collected by the National Museum of China and the China Art and Craft Museum. They have also been selected as state gifts for international friends on numerous occasions. This book collects over 160 Jun porcelain works by Mr. Liu Fu'an, many of which are published for the first time, representing his artistic style in Jun porcelain. The names of the objects in this book are generally based on Mr. Liu Fu'an's naming conventions, while the glaze colors, patterns, and sizes are named according to the standards published by the Henan Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision in 2002. The book also includes close-up images of the glaze and inscriptions of different works, which are samples of the inscriptions on Jun porcelain wares since the establishment of the "Mr. Liu Fu'an Studio of Chinese Art and Craft Masters." The works collected in this book are primarily Mr. Liu Fu'an's posthumous works since the establishment of the master's studio.
