Features: Tom and Jerry turned into the drainpipe, John the Crow looked suspiciously into the dark opening, followed them in. They came to a relatively spacious place inside and sat comfortably among the newspapers. "Now you can say it, what's the big deal?" Henry asked. "Our prairie is going to have big trouble," John the Crow said, "Chester and Turtle Simon are terrified! They're a bit like the head of our place—Simon, because he's the oldest there; and Chester, maybe just because he's Chester—they're both very scared. We're all very scared!" "What's wrong?" Tucker asked. "I'd rather wait for Chester to tell you himself," the crow said, "Actually, I came to New York to ask you—to actually beg you and Mr. Cat—to 'Call me Henry,' Henry interrupted. '—beg you and Henry to leave immediately for Connecticut! Chester said you used to be his agent and were especially good at solving problems.' John the Crow shook his head sadly, 'I came here just to tell you that we really have trouble in the prairie!' Tucker looked at Henry, then at John the Crow. 'I don't know,' he said, 'Henry and I used to talk about visiting Chester, but Connecticut is so far away, and' 'Oh, please, please!' the crow interrupted Tucker, 'Connecticut isn't that far. Even a small cricket like Chester can take the train, and you two big guys can definitely go! We really need you! Really! If you don't go, I really don't know what we'll do!' John the Crow was frustrated and anxious, jumping up and down, his claws tangled in pieces of torn newspaper. After a while, he calmed down and began staring blankly at the floor in the drainpipe. For a moment, everyone was silent, not looking at each other. Then, Henry Cat whispered softly, 'Let's go.' P6-7
