Patient's question:
What is congenital cervical infertilityDoctor's answer:
Introduce the following four symptoms:1. Congenital cervical canal stenosis: Seen in daughters born to mothers who took diethylstilbestrol during early pregnancy. They may develop vaginal adenosis, cervical stenosis and erosion, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, adenocarcinoma, or clear cell carcinoma during puberty, which is caused by diethylstilbestrol interfering with the normal differentiation of sexual tissues and organs during early pregnancy.
2. Cervical canal developmental abnormality: May be accompanied by uterine developmental abnormality. Severe developmental abnormality of the cervix appears slender. Moderate developmental abnormality of the cervix has a length-to-body ratio of 1:1, known as the "pubertal uterus." Cervical developmental abnormality can lead to insufficient secretion function of cervical glands.
3. Cervical agenesis and double cervix malformation: Cervical agenesis is caused by the arrest of development at the caudal end of the paramesonephric duct, which may be accompanied by upper vaginal atresia or uterine developmental malformation. Double cervix malformation results from the failure of fusion at the midsection of both paramesonephric ducts, often accompanied by uterine didelphia.
4. Abnormal cervical mucus: Its physical and chemical abnormalities are generally related to immune factors, endocrine imbalance, or reproductive organ abnormalities, such as genital prolapse, retroverted or retroflexed uterus, cervical stenosis, cervical resection, benign tumors, congenital abnormalities, etc.
