Patient's question:
What to eat for candidal vaginitis? These past few days, I've had an unbearable itch in my vagina. I started inserting medication, but now it's still very itchy. The examination said it's candidal vaginitis. How should I treat it? 13 days agoDoctor's answer:
Analysis of the condition: Candidal vulvovaginitis is a common type of vaginitis, usually caused by Candida albicans.Advice: The main symptoms are vulvar itching or burning pain. During the acute phase, there is an increase in vaginal discharge, which appears as curd-like or cottage cheese-like in consistency. Pay attention to vulvar hygiene and avoid cross-infection. Use antibiotics and hormones reasonably.
Treatment:
1. Use alkaline solutions such as 2–4% sodium bicarbonate or soapy water to rinse the vulva and vagina, altering the vaginal pH to make it unfavorable for fungal growth. After rinsing, insert nystatin tablets or suppositories into the vagina, 100,000–200,000 units each time, once daily, for a course of 10–14 days. Additionally, apply 3% miconazole cream to the vulva for better results.
2. Place two Bingbing tablets into the vagina, once daily, for a course of 7–10 days.
3. Use Daktarin suppositories externally.
4. Fluconazole can also be used for treatment.
During treatment, avoid sexual intercourse and change clean, disinfected underwear daily. Follow up after the menstrual period.
