Features: Since lipids are not soluble in water, this hinders their transport by the blood to all parts of the body, preventing them from participating well in the circulatory system. Therefore, a special type of protein is needed as a transport vehicle to combine with lipids and help transport them. We call this protein a carrier protein. After lipids and carrier proteins combine, they form lipoproteins (special substances) that can circulate in the blood. This allows lipids to participate in normal blood circulation. Therefore, lipoproteins are the unique form of lipid transport. There are many types of lipoproteins in plasma, and due to differences in their structure and density, blood lipoproteins are often classified. Among these, the most beneficial to the human body is high-density lipoprotein (HDL). When cholesterol combines with a carrier protein, if the two substances bind tightly, it is called high-density lipoprotein (HDL). Cholesterol and protein bind tightly, resulting in small volume, and when circulating in the blood, they move smoothly without easily releasing cholesterol. Therefore, HDL is often referred to as a highly responsible "mover" for transporting cholesterol or lipid cholesterol. It can responsibly transport 20% of cholesterol in the blood to the liver, playing an active role in bile production. Moreover, HDL is small in volume and can resist the deposition of lipids.
