Urgent! Check the rapid FISH results after amniocentesis

Patient's question:

I would like to ask an expert to review this amniocentesis FISH rapid result:
Sample type: Amniotic fluid
Detection method: FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization)
Detection sites and probes used: GLP13/GLP21 locus-specific probes and CSP18/CSPX/CSPY chromosome centromere-specific probes
Number of cells analyzed: 50 cells per probe
FISH results: No abnormalities were observed in chromosomes 13/18/21 and sex chromosomes.
Note: This FISH test cannot detect chromosomal structural abnormalities and cannot detect the number of other chromosomes except for chromosomes X, Y, 13, 18, and 21.

Doctor's answer:

Disease Analysis: Hello, the test only used probes to detect whether chromosomes 13, 18, 21, and the sex chromosomes (X, Y) are abnormal, and the results are normal. Advice: Based on the current results, it can be basically ruled out as Down syndrome, but the fetal gender cannot be determined.
