Publish Date: 2005-03-01
Features: To adapt to the needs of China's economic reform and development, and to meet the teaching evaluation of universities by the Ministry of Education, we revised the "Financial Analysis" textbook in the Accounting Series of Northeast University of Finance and Economics (authored by Zhang Xianzhi and Chen Youbang, published by Northeast University of Finance and Economics Press in 2000) based on the changes in financial analysis theory, methods, and practices in recent years, as well as the needs for reform in teaching content and methods. While maintaining the original features and strengths of the textbook, we revised the financial analysis system, content, and methods. In terms of the financial analysis system, the second edition consisted of four parts: Financial Analysis Theory and Technology, Financial Statement Accounting Analysis, Financial Statement Financial Analysis, and Comprehensive Financial Analysis and Evaluation. It has been revised to four parts: Introduction to Financial Analysis, Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Efficiency Analysis, and Comprehensive Financial Analysis and Evaluation. In terms of the content of financial analysis:
1. Combined the three chapters of Equity Analysis, Asset Analysis, and Asset-Equity Symmetry Structure Analysis into one chapter titled "Balance Sheet Analysis," making it part of Financial Statement Analysis along with Income Statement Analysis and Cash Flow Statement Analysis. This clarifies the purpose of analysis and makes the analytical approach more straightforward, facilitating students' understanding and mastery.
2. Merged the original two chapters of Financial Analysis Techniques (Part 1 and Part 2) into one chapter, systematically discussing the procedures and methods of financial analysis starting from the analysis process.
3. Emphasized and enriched the foundational information for financial analysis by treating financial reports and related information as a separate chapter.
4. Added a chapter on Trend Analysis and Forecasting to complete the financial analysis content system.
Additionally, this book places special emphasis on the interpretation and application of financial reports in the analysis.
In terms of financial analysis methods:
1. Streamlined the procedures and methods of financial analysis.
2. Focuses on adopting new accounting and financial regulations and systems.
