Features: "Aesthetics of Cultural Relics and Archaeology" is an interdisciplinary and marginal field encompassing cultural relic studies, archaeology, history, mythology, art morphology, aesthetic psychology, as well as the history of ceramics, painting, bronze artifacts, craftsmanship, costume, folklore, and other areas. It primarily studies the aesthetic consciousness revealed in archaeological discoveries and the various artistic forms and aesthetic principles embodied in cultural relics. The establishment of "Aesthetics of Cultural Relics and Archaeology" will broaden the research scope of cultural relic studies, archaeology, and aesthetics itself, better summarizing the development process of Chinese aesthetic consciousness from the perspective of material cultural heritage, and providing more substantial data for the compilation and study of the history of Chinese aesthetics. Here, we will only explore two aspects: the basic views of Marxist classical writers on the relationship between material cultural heritage and "beauty," as well as the specific research approaches of "Aesthetics of Cultural Relics and Archaeology." This book selects the aesthetic issues of art in the archaeological cultural systems and types before the Warring States period in China as its research subject, providing a practical perspective to accumulate specific connotations and an experiential foundation for the theoretical system of it.
