Features: What is color? Everything has color, so although we tend to consider blue, red, or yellow as options when painting a wall, white remains equally important in the color palette. Remember, similarly, metals have color, wood has color, so your choice of floor color is just as important as the color of your gray-green walls. How to choose color? A beautiful room should have a layered color scheme. Walls and floors have the largest surface area, so in your color plan, you should choose colors for them as the room's base color. Furniture and door and window components are the next layer in the room's color scheme. They are often used as complements to the base color, typically in relatively stronger shades, making them visual focal points that stand out in the entire room. Finally, there are accessories—such as cushions, blankets, vases, and some artworks—adding some contrasting colors can bring vitality to the entire room. Color Wheel If you observe colors on a color wheel, it will be easy to understand how they work together. All the vibrant colors are arranged in a circular order on the color wheel according to the spectrum. A quick glance will show you which colors pair well together (colors placed relatively close to each other); which colors are harder to blend (colors with the darkest or lightest shades on the edges); and which colors, if used carelessly, might clash. How to mix colors? Choosing beautiful and comfortable colors for a room follows a general principle: choose complementary colors. This means they mix well and have similar brightness. If you want a more dreamy and lively effect, choose contrasting colors, or even colors that conflict with each other. As a primary rule, the main colors in a room should not exceed four. P4
