Patient's question:
The other day, the physical examination revealed that I had endometrial polyps, about 105MM, 66MM.Doctor's answer:
Treatment Plan: Different treatment methods are adopted based on the size, location, morphology of the polyps, and the patient's age.1. For larger pedunculated polyps that can be seen or felt in the lower uterine segment, the polyps can be removed by dilating the cervix, followed by cervical and uterine scraping to remove remaining polyps and send them for pathological examination.
2. For small focal or diffuse polyps, a D&C (dilation and curettage) is performed, with attention to thorough scraping, especially at the fundus and cornual regions of the uterus.
3. After uterine surgery, anti-infection treatment should be administered. Clinically, oral or intravenous antibiotics can be given.
4. For patients with significant bleeding symptoms that persist or recur frequently despite treatment as described above, hysterectomy should be considered.
