Through patient investigation, collection, and organization, the author has rescued this invaluable cultural heritage, providing precious primary sources for studying Daoist talismans, tables, and seals from the late Qing Dynasty to the present, covering over one hundred fifty years. From this, we can understand the Daoist rituals, modes of Daoist cultural dissemination, Daoist literature, as well as the cultural literacy and spiritual demeanor of Daoist practitioners.
