Features: The college entrance examination (Gaokao) is currently a fair and effective nationwide selection test, and its questions reflect the country's assessment requirements and instructional guidance for each subject. Since the Gaokao will continue, all candidates must understand it, prepare for it, and familiarize themselves with its questions, which is a crucial part of the preparation. In 2006, 16 provinces and municipalities organized independent Gaokao question-setting. Although these regions developed their own supplementary examination guidelines and created Gaokao questions based on local realities, breaking the pattern of a single nationwide exam paper, all these questions, though varying in quantity, scoring, and overall style, did not exceed the examination guidelines. Based on this, we compiled all 2006 Gaokao questions into a book and invited experts and senior/ teachers from across the country to write detailed answer explanations, enhancing the book's reference and practical value. The book is divided into six volumes: Chinese, Mathematics (Liberal Arts), Mathematics (Science), English, Liberal Arts Comprehensive (including Politics, History, and Geography), and Science Comprehensive (including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). English includes both listening and non-listening versions, combined into one volume. Additionally, a few points need clarification:
1. The English exam papers are arranged with the listening version first, followed by the non-listening version. The book comes with an audio recording of the listening sections, recorded in real-time during the actual Gaokao, with the order matching the question sequence.
2. Following the reform of the Gaokao, the differences between the Liberal Arts and Science Mathematics papers have been increased to reflect the distinct requirements of different subjects. In 2006, the differences between the Liberal Arts and Science Mathematics papers in the same region were significant, so they are published separately in this book.
3. All questions in this book are based on official samples from the nationwide exam or provincial/municipal exams, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Each set of questions includes detailed answers, which are uniformly appended at the end of the book. These can serve as reference materials for teachers in review and tutoring, as well as for students' self-assessment and practice.
4. The book is bound in a detachable, flexible format, allowing candidates to use it for mock tests and adaptive training during the later stages of Gaokao preparation. During this phase, candidates should practice past Gaokao questions, as well as mock questions, especially those created after the new examination guidelines were released. It is also emphasized that practicing past Gaokao questions from the local region is important, and appropriately selecting other Gaokao questions from different regions is equally significant.
