What should I do about trichomoniasis??

Patient's question:

After giving birth, I found out I had trichomoniasis.

Doctor's answer:

Trichomoniasis vaginalis First, use soap swabs to clean the vaginal walls, and then rinse the vagina with a 0.02% potassium permanganate solution or warm water. Next, use 1% lactic acid or 0.5% acetic acid to wash and dry the area. Choose one of the following options—Trichoguin, carbaryl, or metronidazole—to insert into the posterior fornix of the vagina or spray inside the vagina. Administer once nightly or every other night, with a 7–10-day course considered one treatment. Up to 2–3 courses can be used consecutively.
