II. Basic Safety Operation Knowledge
1. All machinery and equipment used for installing water and heating pipes or equipment must have dedicated final-level switch boxes. The distance between the switch box and the machinery shall not exceed 3 meters, and the "one machine, one switch, one leakage protector, one box" system must be implemented.
2. Tool plugs shall not be arbitrarily removed or altered. When the original plug is damaged, it should be replaced with an identical model promptly.
3. When water and heating workers perform on-site prefabrication and installation, the work area should be dry and level. When multiple tools operate simultaneously, there must be ample space for operation.
4. The rigging used for hoisting air ducts must be secure. During hoisting, the hoisting ropes should be tied firmly to the air ducts and kept at a safe distance from electrical wires.
5. When hoisting pipes, the load of the chain block should match the weight being lifted, and the chain block must be in good condition. No one should stand under the hoisted item. The pipes must be secured firmly before releasing the chain block.
6. When striking pipes with machinery, no one should stand under the pipes. When striking pipes manually, personnel should keep clear. When heating pipes, no one should stand in front of the pipe openings.
7. When installing vertical pipes, start from the bottom up and secure them promptly after installation to prevent accidents.
8. When moving and aligning pipes, actions should be coordinated, and hands should not be placed near the pipe openings or flange joints.
9. When flipping workpieces, prevent sliding or tilting to avoid accidents.
10. When bending pipes with a manual pipe bender, choose a flat area and avoid working on uneven or high-edge surfaces. During operation, keep the face away from the moving parts to prevent accidents.
11. Between folding steps, use latches or ropes. On smooth surfaces, use ladders with insulated soles or rubber pads. On muddy ground, use ladders with iron tips for stability. The ideal angle for folding ladder use is 35° to 45°.
12. When climbing ladders, face the ladder and do not hold any tools.
13. When installing pipes, there must be a completed structure or an operating platform to stand on. It is strictly forbidden to stand or walk on pipes during installation.
14. When assembling air ducts, use pointed tools to align the flange holes; never touch them with fingers.
15. When riveting flanges or punching holes for waist bands inside air ducts, personnel outside the duct must avoid the riveting and punching positions.
16. When threading wires, do not call out or blow air near the pipe openings to prevent wire tension from hooking eyes. Coordinate when threading wires to prevent hand injuries.
17. When drilling through floor bricks, no one should stand near the underside of the floor or behind the wall.
18. When cutting grooves or holes, wear protective goggles. Ensure the hammer head is secure and strike gently as the hole approaches completion.
19. When performing electric or gas welding, wear proper protective equipment (safety helmet, insulated shoes, insulated gloves).
20. When cutting pipes with a sawing machine, steel saw stand, tube cutting tool, or abrasive tube cutting machine, ensure the pipes are leveled and secured. Do not use excessive force when nearing the cut; use hands or supports to steady the pipes.
21. When using a folding machine, operators should coordinate with each other and maintain a safe distance from the machine to avoid being struck by flipping plates or counterweights.
