Hello, what is known as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) refers to the phenomenon where irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, anovulation, hirsutism, obesity, infertility, and bilateral ovarian enlargement with cystic changes are present. It is also known as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Polycystic ovaries generally exhibit the above symptoms, but their greatest harm is causing infertility. It can generally be determined through the following tests whether it is PCOS:1. Hormone testing
2. Ultrasound examination: bilateral ovarian polycystic enlargement with thickened capsule and strong echoes. Multiple small cystic follicles (2–7 mm in diameter) can be seen in the subcapsular area. The ovarian stroma shows uneven echoes, and the endometrium is thickened. It should be noted to rule out uterine and ovarian tumors as well as adrenal gland disorders.
3. Posterior peritoneal contrast imaging and uterine tubal contrast imaging: to observe the morphology and size of the ovaries and adrenal glands in order to differentiate the causes of hyperandrogenemia.
4. Laparoscopic examination: it can clearly reveal the disorganized morphology and number of the ovaries, while also allowing for ovarian drilling surgery.
