A clumsy and easily frightened duck, driven by love, becomes brave and persistent, and in the end, witnesses a miracle, rescues its partner, and earns the beautiful name: Heavenly Duck. Heavenly Duck is one of New Zealand's oldest legends. Another story, "Dragon Moon," takes young readers on a magical cosmic adventure: Do you know how to invent a time machine to bring back matter from hundreds of millions of years ago? Do you know which metal can self-repair? How to obtain fragments from the solar system? What kind of energy is stronger than the sun?...... A sick boy, a beautiful fairy, a window facing the sea. Love and knowledge give the boy strength and wisdom, and also teach the proud princess of the Dragon, Moon, humility and gratitude. Under the fresh and beautiful prose of the renowned New Zealand children's author, Emu Brooke, paired with vivid and adorable charcoal illustrations, it becomes even more touching and thought-provoking.
