Features: The rapid development of the tourism and hotel industries, along with the continuous expansion of tourism education, has raised higher requirements for the construction of teaching materials in tourism-related fields. Case teaching, as an effective teaching method, has been widely promoted in the field of tourism education. To meet the demand for case-based teaching materials in secondary and higher tourism education, our publishing house introduced the "Tourism Service Case Teaching Series" in 2000. This series includes three books: "Front Office Case Studies on Difficult Issues," "Hotel Room Service and Management Case Studies," and "Star-Rated Hotel Food and Beverage Service Case Studies." This series is titled "Tourism Case Studies Series" and has the following distinct features:
First, the series focuses on the practical work of tourism services, covering a series of service links in hotels, such as front office, room service, and food and beverage service. Each book addresses a specific theme, emphasizing practicality, aiming to clarify difficulties, present complex concepts in an accessible way, and make the content engaging and readable.
Second, to further highlight the characteristics of case-based teaching materials, the revised edition reduces theoretical discussions, removes outdated information from the original cases, and adds new cases, especially those related to international services and the management of large international hotels, to reflect the latest industry trends and concepts in the modern hotel industry.
Third, each case in the book is accompanied by a concise subheading, which is also directly listed in the table of contents for easy reference by readers.
This series can serve as supplementary teaching materials for colleges and universities, be used for on-the-job training for tourism professionals, and provide reference and assistance for tourism managers and service staff in their practical work.
