Dao Dao: A seven-year-old boy. He has many characteristics common to girls, such as being clumsy, careless, impatient, enthusiastic, and opportunistic.

Big Bear: A simple-minded farmer, physically large and clumsy, passionate about farming, honest, a bit foolish, often taken advantage of, but never truly. He is helpful, looks rough but has a very meticulous heart. Kind-hearted.
Lonely Wolf: A homeless man. His favorite thing is to do bad things, and he does everything he can to do so. The bad ideas he comes up with are usually clever and clever, but rarely succeed. After failing to do bad things, he always looks especially pitiful. He is a bad person, but his nature is not truly evil, so it is more accurate to say he is a person with misfortune. He is the most important character in the book, and almost every story involves him.
Mei Mei held a book and stepped out of her home. She walked toward the seaside. Passing the triplets' house and crossing the small stone bridge, she arrived at the beach. The sand left a trail of footprints behind her. Mei Mei sat on a rock and began to read. She was reading Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, "The Little Mermaid." Mei Mei posed in a very beautiful way, just like the famous little mermaid statue.
"Ah, what a beautiful story," Mei Mei thought about the little mermaid's story. As she thought, she fell asleep on the rock.
Mei Mei had a dream. In her dream, she turned into a mermaid. Her upper body was like her current self, and her lower body was a fish tail. A sailboat came from the horizon, and on it was a handsome prince who reached out and said warmly, "Come, lovely little mermaid." With that, the handsome prince took her away. The sailboat gradually moved farther away. The entire became smaller and smaller. Mei Mei was as happy as a small white cloud floating in the sky.
Suddenly, she heard a loud "whoosh," and she was startled awake. It turned out that a wave had hit her. On the sea, a sailboat really appeared. The sailboat got closer and closer. This sailboat looked very old, with many patches on the sail.
