Features: One day, Mei Mei sat quietly by the window reading a book, looking very much like a good girl. A sentence in the book caught her attention. It read: "This fairy sewed and knitted with fingers as nimble as flying, quickly mending the hole in the emperor's dragon robe. The emperor was overjoyed and immediately granted the fairy the title 'Imperial Front Hand Jade Maiden.' From then on, using skillful hands to sew and mend clothes became the goal that girls dreamed of achieving." Mei Mei said to herself, "I never realized that sewing and mending could be such a wonderful thing. Then I must learn, and I must become a 'Jade Maiden.'"
To learn sewing, one needs torn clothes. Mei Mei began searching for torn clothes at home. She couldn't find a single torn piece of clothing. Then she remembered—she never had torn clothes because she always bought new ones before her old clothes wore out. Without torn clothes, how could she learn to sew? "No problem, I'll go ask for torn clothes." She first went to look for Big Bear. "Big Bear, do you have any torn clothes that need mending? I can help you sew." "Yes, yes. But—" Big Bear said at first with great enthusiasm, but then hesitated quickly. "You'll help me sew? Will you charge for it?" "Big Bear, what do you think of me? How could I possibly charge?" Mei Mei said.
