How to detect luteal phase deficiency

Patient's question:

Since getting married, three years have passed. I have been pregnant twice, but both times I had a miscarriage. The first time, I thought it was because I hadn't taken enough care. But even the second time, when I was very careful, it still happened. The doctor said it was habitual miscarriage, caused by insufficient corpus luteum function. How can I check if my corpus luteum function is normal?

Doctor's answer:

The etiology of this disease is not yet entirely clear. The maintenance of normal luteal function depends on the proper functioning of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis. Therefore, most scholars believe that factors or causes leading to luteal dysfunction may be related to insufficient secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) by the pituitary, excessive or insufficient secretion of prolactin (PRL) by the pituitary, immaturity of the follicle itself and insensitivity to gonadotropins, as well as insufficient synthesis of progesterone by the corpus luteum or an imbalance in the ratio between progesterone and estrogen.
