Acoustical design specifications for theater, cinema, and multi-purpose hall buildings

Features: This code was developed in accordance with the requirements of Document No. 2630 of the former State Planning Commission (Jizong (1986) 2630), and was organized and supervised by the National Acoustics Standard Technical Committee and the Building Acoustics Sub-technical Committee. It was specifically compiled by a drafting group consisting of Tongji University, Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute, China Radio and Television Broadcasting Film and Television Design and Research Institute, Southeast University, Tsinghua University, China Academy of Building Research, and China Film Science and Technology Research Institute. Based on extensive research and a thorough summary of practical experience, the drafting group proposed a draft for comments, which was sent to relevant units across the country for feedback. A symposium attended by domestic units was held for in-depth discussion. After extensive solicitation of opinions and repeated revisions to form a draft for review, it underwent national review meetings and review by the National Acoustics Standardization Technical Committee before being finalized and submitted for approval in 1991. In 2004, in accordance with the requirements of Document No. 4 of the Construction Department Standard and Quota Bureau (Jibiaobian (2004) 4), the drafting group continued to revise and organize the work. Finally, it was finalized and approved by the Construction Department Standard and Quota Bureau in conjunction with relevant departments. The main technical content of this code includes: 1. General Provisions; 2. Terms and Symbols; 3. Theaters; 4. Cinemas; 5. Multi-purpose Halls; 6. Noise Control. It primarily specifies technical indicators such as the design of audience hall shapes, reverberation time in the audience hall, and noise limits.
