Later, researching Marxism on journalism, publicity, and broader cultural communication issues became a tradition of the Journalism Department of Renmin University. The continuously revised and supplemented "Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Stalin on Journalism," as well as the collection of documents on journalism and publicity work by the Communist Party of China, "China Journalism Collection," have left a profound mark on Marxist journalism theory research in China in the 20th century. "Marxist Journalism View" is a new concept proposed by several departments in China's publicity field in 2003 during the Three Education Campaigns. The connotation of this concept has always been the principles, ideas, and action guidelines that the party-led journalism industry, as well as the broader party-led cultural industry, need to follow politically. These principles and ideas are both political principles and the subject of Marxist research. This study has expanded in the following two aspects: , it has expanded the research on the thoughts of Marx and Engels, Lenin, Stalin, and Mao Zedong to include the thoughts of the leadership collective they co-founded and led revolutionary activities, including topics of debate. Second, it is not limited to studying the thoughts of leaders but also examines the views on journalism, publicity, and culture in various party conferences and documents, which are the crystallization of collective wisdom of the times.
