Why is there no ovulation?

Patient's question:

On the 13th day of the menstrual cycle, I had an ultrasound to check the ovulation status. The doctor said that ovulation was not observed. The ultrasound report stated: "The uterus is anteverted, of normal size, and has a regular shape. The endometrium is centrally located, with uniform echoes, and no obvious space-occupying lesions were observed." On the 16th day, I went back for another check-up, but ovulation was still not observed. The ultrasound findings showed: "The uterus is anteverted, with a size of approximately 312927mm, a regular shape, uniform intrauterine echoes, and no obvious space-occupying lesions were observed. No obvious abnormalities were found in both adnexa."

Doctor's answer:

Hello, your condition may be related to endocrine diseases. Some endocrine diseases can cause follicular atresia, so no follicles can be seen. Suggestions: You should have a complete check-up of sex hormones. Based on the results, determine the specific endocrine disease and then receive corresponding treatment.
